About Greentown Real Estate

Greentown Real Estate is a Real Estate Investment company owned by Rebecca and Mauricio Solano, lifelong residents of Waukegan. After graduating from college in 2007, we returned home and began our careers as teachers, teaching full-time for 11 years at Waukegan Public Schools.

During summer breaks, we started buying and renovating houses. About five years ago, we found ourselves juggling teaching, construction projects, our rental properties, and our two energetic sons (and now there are three!). Our hands were (and are) full! In 2018, we decided to focus on our real estate business full-time.

We are passionate about Lake County. Even though we are no longer teachers, we continue to work to improve our community by supporting local contractors and providing high-quality housing for Lake County residents.
